Adopt a Catchment!

catchmentbutton.jpgYou can adopt a catchment of your own this summer!  Catchments are typically a set of ponds or streams that may have amphibians in them.

Catchments are surveyed twice each spring/summer, roughly between June and late July depending on elevation.  You may adopt either survey visit (1st or 2nd) or both visits.

Catchments vary in accessibility and difficulty.  Some require long drives or hikes to access catchments.  Click on the catchment name below the map to view catchment description, access, and difficulty ratings.

Your job, once you adopt a catchment, is to visit that catchment at least once this summer, survey for amphibians, and submit your observations to us.  Training (online or in-person) is required.  You'll be contributing to real, live research in an incredibly meaningful way!
